Leuven-Template for Virtual Weather Station
« on: December 22, 2014, 07:37:49 AM »
Demo: http://www.weerstation-leuven.be/weatherVWS/
This demo is located in Europe, but as usal the template adapts forecasts, weahter-warnings a.s.o. automatically based on the region the weather station is in.

As the Virtal Weather Station version is nearly ("just" the documentation  ) ready I need a good experienced VWS user to be the first to try the install procedure. And to help me iron out the things i overlooked.

I can only test with a Davis weatherstation at the moment and I already discovered that Soil/Moist is not supported. At least I could not find it.

I use the demo licence at the moment.  100$ for a weatherprogram seems a steap price as long as there are no VWS users banging on my doo . The demo version lasts until january 9. I hope that at that date there is at least some interest for this version.

I could not find anything about the  WFLASH licence as the links in the Ambient manual for that product lead to nowhere.   But without that licence the VWS software makes the files nicely as I found out with the help of Ken True's excelent documentation.

This version of the Leuven-Template does support VWS using only two uploads to the server.
1. A normal 5 minute file with all tags
2. wflash upload, which are two different files

All realtime files for Steelseries, MW-live, yowindow are generated from those uploads.

To check out the product use the link above.

ready for roll-out after Christmas will be the support for
WVIEW, demo at   http://www.weerstation-leuven.be/weatherWV/

Supported weather program but no users yet:
Weatherlink.com for WLIP users , demo at http://www.weerstation-leuven.be/weatherWLC/

user supported version
WEEWX  - will also be supported by me after the imminent release 3 of the WEEWX weather-program
