Jay
You are validating your page as " Valid XHTML 1.0"
But the <video tag is only valid for html5. Link http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_video.asp

The <video> tag is new in HTML5.

Wim,

Since the template package is xhtml, is there a way to place the videos on the page and have the page validate?  The examples I have found on the web all refer to apple quicktime.  not sure I want to have to use that.

Jay you could use JW Player. It's great and free.

To place the video in an iframe would be a solution. But  "if it aint broke dont fix it" Your page is correct. No errors which point to a problem. So I would leave that as is.
The html checking is there to find and remove errors. Not to totally rebuild a site as a html-5 site including all UTF-8 for only using a html-5 element on 1 page only.

But then you should really remove the "Valid XHTML 1.0" link from the page  ;)
