GRLevel 2 to GRLevel 2 Analyst - Exciting!
« on: August 13, 2015, 10:43:52 AM »
I just wanted to tell some users of the *OLD* GRLevel 2 (That cost $80) that Mike Gibson is currently in the process of creating a payment option to allow users of the old GRLevel 2 to upgrade to the new GRLevel 2 Analyst with dual pol for only $99, which I think is VERY generous! I'll post back whenever that payment option becomes available!

Anybody else interested in that offer?

I'm not sure I would ever use the Volume Renderer feature of the GR2Analyst. Looks a little complicated. http://www.grlevelx.com/gr2analyst_2/using_volume_renderer.htm

I think GRlevel 3 will work for my needs. What I've noticed twice now when I had TS bearing down the radar would stop updating. I'm hoping the allisonhouse feed is more reliable.

I don't have Analyst but I hear there is a learning curve to it.

Mike's got some good tutorials on how to use the program. I tried the 3 week full version, and after maybe 2 hours of reading the tutorials and practicing, I got the hang of it pretty well. Once learned, the volume renderer IS pretty sweet.  8-)

When the $99 upgrade happens, I will likely be going to it. But regular GR2 has served my purposes fine thus far  :-)

Joseph, will your copy of GR2 still be available to use or will it turn into Analyst?

I imagine it will still be available. I honestly though have not directly asked Mike about this (Which I will). However, I will say that when I upgraded to GR3 2.xx versus GR3 1.xx for free, I got to keep both copies of the program.  8-)
