Where to buy in Oregon
« on: December 29, 2018, 11:12:08 PM »
I used to have a Vantage Pro many many years ago when I lived in Europe.

I am in USA, Portland Oregon now and wonder if anyone knows of a local shop that is an authorized dealer.

Tried googling but cant find anything....

I am after the Vantage Pro 2 Plus (6162)

Thanks,
P

I would try contacting Cyclone Performance Weather Instruments just outside Portland.

I have never done business with them, but I have followed them for awhile and they seem to be the real deal.

Not in Oregon (completely opposite ;) )  but I wouldn't (haven't) hesitated to order from https://www.scaledinstruments.com/discount-price-list/

Enjoy,
Paul

I can also suggest Bob Ingham at RainmanWeather.com, also in Florida: http://www.rainmanweather.com/site/contact

Both give outstanding service...and prices.

Disclaimer: I mentioned Cyclone because the OP stated they were looking for a "local shop" in Oregon, but I would be remiss not to mention that Ryan at Scaled Instruments is the best of the best as far as any companies I have ever done business with.

As others have noted, Scaled Instruments (SI) in Florida is a great shop. Not sure why you need someone locally as Ryan Wilhour at SI makes your purchase decision easy and provides great support. I have purchased several items (stations, parts and accessories) from him over the years—his prices are good, he knows the Davis product line backwards and forwards, and if a product or part doesn’t work as advertised he stands behind whatever you bought.
Davis VP2 with SHT31 (3 complete VP2 systems—2 with a daytime fan and 1 that has a 24 hour fan); CWOP--CW5020, FW3075 and FW4350; WU--KILWHEAT17, KILWHEAT36 and KILWHEAT39; WeatherCloud.net; CoCoRaHS--IL-DP-132; and Weatherlink 2.0
