reset rainwise sensor array Winf g direction not accurate
« on: March 08, 2017, 01:35:36 PM »
My rainwise anemometer was replaced due to damage and since then the wind direction sensor has been off by 180 degrees.  Everything I do doesn't make a difference.  The Maine people say it is precalibrated so I shouldn't have to do anything.

180 degrees..?

Sounds like it may not be installed properly.

Is this a replacement part to a MKIII..??

Yes straight from Maine I put it on exactly how it came.  Plugged it in and put the groove on the set screw.

I'd call Rainwise and let them walk you through it.

The only other thing I can think of was that somehow your whole assembly (solar panel) got shifted around.

Also, try a re-set on the assembly unit (power off/ power on).  You may need to leave it off until your display in the house sees dashes.

Good luck.
