I have a stardot NetCamXL and my camera is working, and when I do an FTP test in stardot's tools configure app WU accepts the ftp. That being said my camera is showing offline on my WU page even though it shows up on their map and in my devices.

As recognized in a different thread, we are working through some webcam issues including approval and FTP.
Some of you may have success where others do not.
This is a frustrating one for sure but please know that we are working on it, and it will take some time.
I think we have enough data points for now and appreciate your contributions & patience on this particular topic.

I've stopped trying to FTP. Password, smashword, nothing will make what's broke unbroke until it's fixed on the WU end. Pop some more popcorn (Wonder if WU is getting a kickback from the popcorn manufacturers?), sit back and wait.

No that doesn't really rule out webcam configuration issues because at the moment there are WU account login problems. The correct credentials fail no matter the method used to test. * For some users as not all accounts are messed up.

Bottom line is the login is screwed up for many, probably the majority of, users. Has been for a few weeks, now, and shows no sign of improvement, along with the long list of other problems. I've seen local stations webcams drop off the "radar" as time has gone by which certainly isn't encouraging at all. Popcorn is the only solution at this point.

FWIW, my FTP process has been working well since I re-enabled it late last year. I don't rely on a webcam FTP process. If users can figure out how test using command line and their account works....well then...

Most companies would have had their entire infrastructure in place BEFORE making any migration moves, thus lessening the impact and capabilities to users.

Everyone should just bail from WU.....

It's not limited to just FTP users. I have WU pull my images, but if your station dropped (like months ago) and you try to re-enable it (just for giggles) it doesn't light up. HOWEVER something has changed. I'm now seeing a spinning color wheel...progress?

I changed every thing back to the original configuration. Camera name is trixietCAM1. Now the password will be my origonal password I had to log into WU. I'm on the road right now and will test it when l get home. From what I am seeing they are making progress.

I just had a peek and your camera is showing, again. Sky looks about the same as what you posted yesterday, but the date and time are for today so it seems to be working.

Folks, this constant sniping at posts to remind WU of what they've done wrong in the past and why you're still upset with them is not really helping anyone, despite being cathartic for you.

Yes, the whole changeover of ownership and changes in infrastructure and development teams has greatly changed WU and parts of it are still broken. Let us not continue to grouse about the past here .. we all understand. Be grateful that a some WU folks are following along here and trying to help where they can.

I'm glad that you and "almost" all other weather software providers and weather services refrain from trash talking each other. Because it certainly wouldn't look good if you did. Can you imagine how it would look if you jumped on another solution or service provider when their chips were down? Doing so would look like you were trying to peddle your wares at the misfortune of others. That would be more than bad business.

Everyone has their bad day at one time or other. We may never know the particular details for the circumstances that caused the troubles that you had as you grew to become probably the largest weather service, but I'm glad at least that you continue to work hard at improving your service.

I can confirm that at this very date , WEBCAM FTP login is still having problems.
I've created new PWS device IBOLOG4 ( it works ! )
I've added 1 ftp cam wu-8003053CAM1
I've even reset my wu account password
