Title: sensor mounting questions
Post by: n8zuz on March 12, 2008, 09:03:21 PM
What are people using to mount their sensors?  I need to do a wall mount (I am building a new house and I have a metal roof so I don't want a tripod up there).  I could purchase a wall mount for a tv antenna mast but have any of you done a DIY with PVC or some other material?  I'd be curious to see the method of how you have mounted your sensors.

My LaCrosse 2315 just arrived today.  The inspeed vortex should arrive in the next day or two.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jeff

I mounted mine on the north side of my garage till I built me a thermometer shelter. Worked good. 8-)

You may want to PM Chris at sloweather.com. He found a really cool mounting bracket that may work for you.

Thanks folks.  I PM'd the one guy and am waiting to see what he uses.  I did order an 18" wall mount stand off kit for a TV mast.  I got it but wonder if there is a better way.

I have this one: http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?prod=MT9036 but I have not mounted it yet.

How long of a pole are you going to use? PVC, or galvonized?
