WS-1000 battery question
« on: July 31, 2014, 01:09:13 AM »
Looking at the WS-1000 and see it comes with rechargeable Ni-cad batteries.  Maybe someone addressed this, but I haven't seen it:  Normal practice in really cold climates is to use Li-ion batteries for the outside unit.  Has anybody substituted rechargeable Li-ion batteries?  What make or brand was used?

Thanks,
Mike

My WS-1000 came with rechargeable alkaline batteries.  I've been trying to re-order some from ambient's website but they have been out of stock for many many Months.    This is the item in my WS-1000.. http://www.ambientweather.com/amws1000batt.html
Is there a compatible replacement I can purchase in the web?
