If it was ever to drop to -16 here we would shut completely down. I believe by code the water lines are buried  12".

Doug

There will likely be sharper contrasts than that later on when it really becomes winter.

It was staying a very nice but windy 70 F after midnight in Stillwater  until things plunged at 4 am.  I wish it had rained more.  The lake below is still low.

I was comfortable at the Nebraska-Penn State FB game yesterday in a t-shirt and shorts at 78°F.  Walking back to the car after the game was comfortable at 6:15PM and 68°F.  The cold front moved through at around 8PM and the temp was down to 43°F by midnight on its way to a low of 25.5°F at 9:42AM.  Today's high was 34°F at about 4PM, a -54°F difference.  I'm now comfortable in a flannel shirt and jeans indoors, whereas I had to turn the heat pump to 'cool' yesterday because of dewpoints near 60.  It's now back down to 27°F outdoors, and WXSIM predicts a low of 21°F tonight.  I blame global warming!

Well, all of you certainly beat what I thought was an impressive drop by Arizona standards (graphic below shows the high temperatures from the 6th through the 12th for Gold Canyon, AZ). Again, the good ol' Fall roller coaster, back into the 80's by the middle of the week.

BTW: Always interesting to watch these systems move across the country, so thanks for the updates!

Includes four stations across the east valley of Phoenix, Arizona
