2315 wired
« on: February 17, 2009, 01:45:29 AM »
Does anyone run there system wired? I am looking into it. I will need to run around 110' of phone line. Does anybody see a problem with a run this long?

I run wired with the stock length, supplied, wiring with no interference problems so far.(knocking on my forehead for good luck). A 110' cable run could be subject to RF interference (transmitters in the area). If it works, great, but if you get erratic readings you may want to switch the cable with Cat5 type.

I think that may be a bit to far. You might be able to go 60ft (double standard length), but doubling again would probably not work.

If you do make it work, let us know.

Thanks.

I am now wired with around 110-120' cable run using CAT 6. The station is updating every 6-8 sec. Now I just need VWS to update more than just every 1min. Any ideas?
