Topic: Hail in January

Well, I just sent in a hail report to CoCoRaHS.  It was rice- to pea-sized, so no damage to the weather stations, cars, etc. (whew).  But this IS January, ya know.  This is crazy.  Thunder, lightning, hail.   

It is moving to the Northeast, so KY, WV, VA, MD, etc., should be on the lookout later today.

Greg, I sure hope the "best" is not yet to come your way.  It is 71 degrees and clear skies here in Central Texas today, but the forecast is calling for hail and freezing temps tonight and tomorrow.  The weather is crazy here as well. Stay warm!

Sorry, a little late on this one, but yes we got some hail that was pretty small but lasted for a few minutes around 930 on Thursday night
