Title: AJAX Updates
Post by: Curly on April 22, 2007, 11:53:45 AM
On occasions during an update, "undefined" pops up that gets annoying after a while because of its number of characters.
Since AJAX usually updates numbers ranging from 2 to 4 digits, is there a way to change "undefined" to "---" or "***"  ?

I have the same problem on occasion. What is the solution for weather display? Maybe that could be implemented into vws. Curly are you using weather display or vws?

I'm using vws.

I noticed when the "undefined" shows up, the wind says  "calm". Thought maybe something like this could be implemented elsewhere.

I'm running VWS as well and would like to correct this somehow. Ken had some ideas on how to fix it so I guess we will have to wait until he gets back. Unless the fix for weather display will work on VWS.

The fix in WD is to have the software rename the clientraw file as a temporary file.

The heat index data shows  ---  during the undefined time. That's exactly what I'm looking for.
I took a stab at modifying the file but I couldn't make it work.
I really don't know what I'm doing in that area anyway, being a pre-beginner.
