WXForum.net problems?
« on: January 09, 2014, 05:13:00 PM »
Ken,

For about two minutes today (2:08 to 2:10pm PST), I was getting constant "Internal Server Error" messages on the forum. They seem to have cleared-up now but thought you might want to know about it. I tried it on two different computers with the same results.

Saw that too.. thanks Don.

I've downloaded the logs and will look for 'hammering' queries to block :)

Best regards,
Ken

A quick log scan for miscreants showed two sets of IP addresses as 'hammering'
One was pretending to be a Google bot (but wasn't a real one), the other set of addresses were for Baidu.

Both now receive 403's trying to access the forum.

Best regards,
Ken

I'm getting some of that now.

Cute, Dan :)

Another couple of rogue bots.. Think I've got them blocked (until next time)...

I totally agree, thanks Ken, it's a lot of effort without any of us recognising your efforts.
Thanks for everything that you do for us all.
