Member Map missing from page (for me)....Whaaaa?????
« on: November 22, 2013, 01:45:07 AM »
I never ever knew there was a member's map until I saw someone mention it in a post, but when I click on it, I get everything but the map (in Chrome, on Win 7).  I tried Firefox and I get the map but it is empty!  Then I tried IE and it looks just like as it does in Chrome with no map.  I checked and turned off Adblock Plus for the WXForum site but still no maps.  Anyone have any idea what might be going on here?  I never ever use IE and so I don't have any additional plug-ins, extensions or anything there (same with Firefox).

Here is what it looks like in Chrome and IE:

...and in Firefox

If it is any consolation it is the same for me, so it looks like a general problem with the mod.

Ditto, blank using Chrome here. It was there previously.

I just checked on my Android phone and tablet and it's there on both. hmmm  :-k

You're not seeing things that aren't there afterall.. the issue is with Google.

On 19-Nov-2013 they turned off the V2 of the Google Maps API and are forcing a migration to V3 (which has a different set of functions/built-ins).  They thoughtfully provided a 'wrapper' so many of the old maps using V2 would work, but not all the old map code does.

I'll have to convert the member map to V3 API to get it back again.

BTW... this also impacts my Global Google map which is V2, and I'm rewriting it for V3 API now too...

Best regards,
Ken
