I find this very interesting. I am having the same problem and wonder what OS you are using. Could an unauthorized, unwanted, and unwelcome UPGRADE have caused this? FWIW, I'm using Win7 Ultimate.

Some time ago after experiencing problems with programs that once worked well I shut off all MS updates on my computer that's running ImageSalsa.  It's producing my avatar and signature images.

If nobody has a better solution, try rolling back the updates.  Just make sure this computer isn't used at all for email, browsing, etc.

I use Window 7 Pro. You can see my monitor  at  www.wunderground.com/webcams/cagtripodi/1/show.html     Only layers: the image disappeared.

Does the Logitech camera still appear as a Video-for-Windows device in the computer hardware section of About My Computer?

I hate to be so dumb but please draw me a picture of "appear as a Video-for-Windows device in the computer hardware section of About My Computer".
TIA
