Happy to report my outdoor camera is functioning just fine.
« on: March 03, 2017, 09:45:47 AM »
January 31st I tried to get my new Foscam camera setup and I struggled and I called the fine folks at Foscam and they were so helpful but I couldn't keep it on line. Finally the third tech I talked with at Foscam said you must have a modem problem. I thought how could I, I just picked up a new modem from Spectrum. I broke down and called Spectrum and low and behold the Foscam tech was right. When Spectrum sends you home with that new modem even though it has four ethernet ports only number one works. They had to do some tweaking to open all four of them and then I was finally able to set up the Foscam camera and has been on line and never wavering for over a month now. So thank you Foscam and Spectrum.

Is there a public viewable screen of your camera, or is it just for your usage?

I'm interested in how folks are setting up, the views they get, etc.  I have a Hiki to set up this summer if I can.  Thanks.

I have not created a webpage so I don't have a URL but you are welcome to view at weather underground.com. Just put in zip code 78572 and look for DDD. Any problems please let me know. I just used the Foscam software and send a FTP every 10 minutes.

https://www.wunderground.com/us/tx/mission/zmw:78572.1.99999, remember you have to check the box to show webcams. It works for me and several other friends.

Yes the camera is working, but it does not seem to be attached to his weather station KTXMISSI7

Didn't know that it was a problem or that it was an important. I've checked several others and they are not attached either. Nobody has told me how to do that yet.

On your WU page in the upper right click on "My Profile" then "My Webcams" then click on the "edit" section of your active webcam. Down near the bottom of the edit page is a box labled "Associate with my PWS" and if you click that box your WU ID should show up. Select it and save.
