port1 Weather Station
« on: July 15, 2009, 03:12:09 AM »
  Here's my Oregon Scientific ISS on garage rooftop.  Recently added THGR 122NX and secondary radiation shield to channel 3 of WMR 968.  Using two consoles.  :-)

Your setup looks good, now you need to modify that rain gauge for better collection accuracy and winter frozen precip. measurement.

Thanks there, Sam:
I've been considering modifying my rain collector with some heat source.
Yours is very nice.
Thanks for the links. :-)

Fortunately, I use my CoCoRaHS gauge to measure melted snow, and I use those values when the rain gauge is frozen.
Still, quite convenient to have no freeze ups! ;)

Thanks again...so nice to be part of this forum.

No problem, just think of the awesome weather station and website that wxforum.net collectively as a whole could build in a week's time.
