Peak Fall Foliage in West Virginia
« on: October 10, 2016, 11:46:14 PM »
Took a trip with a coworker up to Dolly Sods Wilderness Area in the Appalachians of West Virginia.

The weather was fantastic, with temperatures in the upper 50s under clear skies. This is at about 4,000 ft above sea level.  8-)

Very nice pic Joe! =D>  It's been quite some time since I've seen air that clear.

Yes sir Randall, I really enjoyed getting out. Hiking has become a new hobby of mine, and I thought I'd make my avatar something that I remember really enjoy doing.  8-)

And thanks for the kind thoughts guys! Here is one more photo I took of the area. I took several, but my phone has a camera that takes photos that are nearly 2 mb in size.  :-P

One last one. Dolly Sods is known for some unusual plants that provide really nice color. Here's one example.

Very nice,
it actually looks very similar to the places at higher elevation here :)

Joe,

See - that is what great photography is all about - reminds of home, great memory, etc.
Thanks again Joe!
