Those are pretty awesome clouds! Kind of like whisps of cotton laid out in rows. :-)

I saw some cool multi colored ones as well the other eve. but unfortunately only had my cell with me to shoot 'em with.

Yep. Specifically, Altocumulus Undulatus. Probably my favorite cloud type because they are a really cool marriage of mathematics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. I use them as a natural example of damped oscillation in the classroom. As the air mass moves laterally it also undulates (due to some disturbance) and the water in the air undergoes cycles of evaporation (blue bands) and condensation (cloud bands) as the air mass rises and falls. =D>
