Topic: Sensor Interchangeability

I wonder if anybody knows if I can substitute the wind and rain sensors of the WS1613IT and the WS2316. I have the 1613 up now and would like to be able to just attach the sensors to the new Temp/Hygro Transmitter unit and save climbing up my tower and installing the new sensors, if possible.

If I were to just "try it", do you think there is any potential of damaging the transmitter or would it just likely give false readings if they are not compatible?
