HOMEWEATHERSTATION template question
« on: March 14, 2017, 01:48:52 PM »
I do not understand the data that I am seeing displayed in the temperature box. The temperature number agrees with the data in the MBrealtimeupload.txt, but I do not understand the ‘trend’ value. As an example today at midnight the temp was 38° F and now at 12:00 noon the temp is 34.2°F, but the trend is ^4.3° and the indicator in the temperature circle has been show "rising" all morning. The numeric values all seem reasonable but the rising/falling indicators have me puzzled.

I suspected that something was not updating properly, but I know that they do change because I have seen them reflect ‘Falling’. But at the time they change, I do not recognize it as matching the actual temperature change.

At this time of year the normal pattern in our location is for the temperatures to fall from midnight until right after daylight. They stay pretty even until the sun rises over the mountain in the east and as soon the sun  is visible the temps start upward.

Thanks for anyone's insight into what I am seeing or missing.
