Yesterday Nebraska's DOR just brought up their new 'Snow Plow Tracker' (https://plows.nebraska.gov/index.html) which displays in-cab camera images of the road ahead of their maintenance trucks. This gives the public an opportunity to see in real time the condition of the state's highways. I understand that this site will display these images year around, so even though it's a 'Plow Tracker' site now, it will also be a maintenance tracker. FYI, there were about a hundred plows out this morning, whereas there are only a few out right now. Obviously the drivers need to sleep sometime. :-)
I understand that other states have similar 'Plow Tracker' sites. It would be great if others would provide links to their state's similar site.

That's pretty neat, and would be great to have here to get an actual visual of conditions before heading out on the road. I guess they would show up quite well at night.
Enjoy,
Paul

Cool idea thanks for the link.

This is a great tool. Michigan DOT has had it for a few years - https://mdotjboss.state.mi.us/MiDrive/map# (https://mdotjboss.state.mi.us/MiDrive/map#)

Minnesota does it on MN511. Great for when kid 1 is driving to and from Fargo.
some of those are tough to embed on my site.

No camera's in cab, but historical route is available. So you can see if a road was plowed 30 minutes ago or 4 hours ago. Really helpful.
