Here is my webcam. It is a Axis 211A in a heated enclosure. Still working on settings to get the best picture possible. Would like to thank Ryan at http://www.hayskansasweather.com/ helping me out getting this going.

Here is a link to my webcam page.

Can't see it Chuck. You have to use your external IP with the port that you forwarded for the outside world to be able to see. Right now your using the IP of the cam and the port and only you can see.

Probably out of focus. Messing with it last night and just got fed up with it. Trying to rid of the black shadows that are on the screen. I have tried putting the camera right against the window and back about a half inch and the shadows do not go away. Will work on it more this evening when I get off work.

It's out of focus. Don't forget to disable the iris lense before focusing. If not you will mess up the lense. I focused mine in my living room as this was the easiest way so you can look at a monitor while your doing it. Then I tightened the screws down on the lense then mounted it. If u need help shoot me a PM.

Honestly it's not that bad but on the other hand it is capable of a better image. Here is mine and Yes it is foggy here today. Darned front won't move! Look at the quality difference between the Axis 211 and the Dlink 932L. The Axis is the first link and the DLink is the second.

Chuck change the compression to 25 on the Image setup page. It is set to 15.

I think it looks a little better. Hard to tell now since it's getting dark. Mess with the compression and the focus until you get it how you like it. That's about all you can do.

You can use webcam 7 and it will create a code to use on your site. You have to port forward your internal IP of the PC that the cam is connected too. Is the PC that the cam is connected to on 24/7?

Hi Ryan... Yes it is on 24/7. Your other terminology is a foreign language to me lol.

What is funny when I disable the DC Iris the picture looks great. But when I enable it I get the black shadows. I left it disabled. Not sure what that is going to do but my picture looks pretty good to me.

Hi Chuck... Nice photo! Would you have any objections to adding a little more of the landscape though? During the late fall and winter it's going to look gray a lot I bet!! I use my web cameras and try to get a 50/50 split on what I show. Half on the sky and half on the ground. Just a suggestion. Here is one of my recent photos for your entertainment.

I am still testing the camera and settings. I will probably do that later. My camera is only about 4 ft off the ground. I need it plugged in to keep the heater on.

All of my cams are above rooftops so I don't invade on anyone's privacy. I wouldn't want it done to me so I respect others. Chuck that tells me that the lense is messed up. Maybe the previous owner didn't disable it before focusing and that's why your getting the black spots?

If you check out my time lapse you can see the difference. Wonder if I can buy another lens, and how much it would cost.

I would have to get an enclosure for my power supply. It can not get wet. I would have to run a long extension cord as we'll.
