virus alert
« on: July 05, 2009, 03:38:24 PM »
I got an email today from someone who ways that when he clicks on the weather radio on my web site that he gets a virus alert. He says it tries to download a real player dll toolbar. How do I check my web page for possible infection?
Thanks

I clicked on it and all I got was a message that I could upgrade RealPlayer. then I heard the local forecast. I have Mcaffe anti-virus and firewall with current updates. No virus message for me.

No problems for me either. I did get a message in my browser asking to run a active x control. But thats because of how I have the security settings set in IE.

Thanks,

I just get the RealPlayer popup box, and it's fine.
Some folks may not have RealPlayer, so it prompts them to load it.
Nice "click and listen" for your area.
I like that feature.

I'm sure you're good to go.

Thanks port1. I just changed the script so there is no mention of real player and hopefully that will allow any listener to use their default media player. Thanks again to all for feedback.
