How do you think we create those Alberta clippers......  They come from snow plants, we use our excess natural gas to boil lots of water, then catapult it up in the air..... True story.

   That is really neat!!!  I will have to try it out and see if I can ever get that result.  If it ever gets cold enough.
  When I saw the subject of this thread I thought it was going to be about this experiment I saw once about 10 years ago on PBS by a physics teacher who froze water by boiling it.  This is the same experiment but not the same teacher.

I will try tonight, but its a balmy -10 right now going to a "low" of -8, after a wake up -23 this morning.

 Not so sure what the big deal is about this . Cold air, hot water it is going to freeze. You can see it better when tossing hot coffee inti 40 below air and find the ice shards easier in the sow. They just about are all round in shape.

Have you guys not seen cartoons, where it is cold out, and they throw their coffee out the window really hard, and it freezes to the coffee mug??? Im only 16 and even Ive seen that!

Ok, I just did it, and can say it works almost as well in -10 as it appears to have in -24.

    I've seen Elmer Fudd get shot with a shotgun a hundred times too...I wouldn't want to try it myself :roll:
