I was wanting to get the WS-2092A for my use, and for the kids to follow as well (Jr Hi & High Schl), but we live in very wooded neighborhood in NW South Carolina (VERY large, mature trees - 60' plus) and now I'm not so sure that it's conducive to one of these - not to get accurate readings anyway. Only the front of my house is unobstructed (and even that has some medium to large trees either in our yard or the facing neighbor's house - i.e. we have a VERY narrow window for our Dish satellite to hit, we're so treed in), and I know my wife will not want a large tower with a weather station on it right out there in the limited open areas. The sides and back of the house are pretty much covered with trees. Any realistic options on installing this, given the circumstances? I don't need scientific, TV news accuracy - just something for fun for us. We also have a utility pole in the front yard that has a street lamp on it - we may could mount it there, but I'm doubtful that it's legal to attach private property to it.
What do you all think? For fun, it doesn't really matter too much - just do the best we can? Or it wouldn't even be worth it and get something simpler?
Thank you!
