A Bad boy cometh
« on: November 04, 2009, 11:22:07 PM »
Got a real bad one coming. This storm is  reaching from alaska  down the coast to Oregon....http://www.goes.noaa.gov/ak1.html  Not good for coastal areas here as it suppose to come ashore  durning the highest tides of the year.  Storm warnings are up here. 60 knot plus winds and 20-30 foot seas  for the outside waters..... Barometer is dropping steady with 2-3 mb/per hour. Some sectoins of northen SEAK  been getting waves of high winds.

Some of this will most likely make its way across the  US. Lot of  warm air with it. was 50 deg. here this early AM.

Ooh creepy.

That storm system is supposed to bring a ten percent chance of rain here this weekend. I was hoping for snow, but it doesn't appear there's a cold front ahead of this system.

No  not  with this one. Sucking warm air up from  tropics. My barometer  at present time is 28.70 and wind starting to pick up.  Woke me up and so up rest of the nigth now.  Don't need any throw backs at the present. Looks like the first triple point  just off shore. Been getting about inch an hour  on rain since midnight. Wish  could see what wind condx are out on the channel....

It has  quieted down here this afternoon as the low slides off to the north and east. Barometer starting to come bac. Set a low record for the  year at 28.70 "/hg.  Getting rain squall  now.
Looks like a good cold front coming behind this storm. see CU all the way to Russia on the NP sat pix. Getting close to 2 " of rain today. going to be interesting to see what have at midnight.

Yeah there are coastal flood warnings all up down the  coast. Just read the ones for Washington and they are forecast 28 foot waves with a period of 10 to 15 seconds.
