heh Wether friends,
We are preparing for Hurricane Irma to pass through our area in Tampa Bay.
What do you do in case of weather severe it¡s likely to swoop up evrything in it's path?
Do people take stuff down or try to anchor weather station elements to ride out the weather?

I'd leave it up. Good luck with Irma!! Stay safe.

Seriously? I'd leave it up with baited breath.

Yes it's very tempting to leave everything up. I figure about a 90% chance it's all swept away with the post it attached to during those predicted 90 mph wind gusts, but maybe I'll get some interesting data beforehand.
.

Definitely leave it up. This is why you bought one. Analyzing the data afterwords is the best part.
This is why you do a rock solid install so it can handle extremes.
-
If it quits or is blown away, your homeowner's insurance should cover it, I would think.
-
I decided to leave it up. Tommorow the weather should begin to get interesting.
Thanks for following the input.

I was able to get over to my home yesterday evening to check.
My Weather station was still there though the post is leaning over quite a bit.
We continue to be without power in the area so it's offline. Power must have failed September 10th late because data cuts off then.
Glad I decided to leave it up.

Glad it survived! Hope the lights come back on soon for you.

@LydieRush, always good to hear that members AND their equipment survived a bad storm.

Woo! Glad everything survived, especially you.
