If you are registered with WU, you can send messages to other weather station operators.  Go to their history page, scroll down and look at the right hand side of the page.

This is from my page:

About This PWS:

Lat: N 35 ° 40 ' 59 '' ( 35.683 ° )
Lon: W 84 ° 42 ' 19 '' ( -84.705 ° )
Elevation (ft): 767
MADIS ID: D0148
Hardware: OS WMR968
Weather Station Software: WUHU216WMR968SP

Cool.  I never bother to sign-in as a rule on WU.  Once I did that email field appeared.  Thanks.

Of course, their receipt of your message and subsequent reply assumes they login to WU on a regular basis and look for the message indicator on their WU page.  I have only sent/rec'd one message through WU.  A nearby station that I used as a proxy showed 9 inches of rain during a tstorm... took a while for him to read/respond, so I can remember how "in your face" the message icon is when you have one in your inbox.

I sent a message at Christmas to two of my neighbouring stations, but sadly neither replied, guess they never read them.   ](*,)

You now have a message in your wunderground mailbox.

I've only logged into wunderground once, never logged out.
Now I don't have to look at advertisements when I use them.

That's pretty neat.  It said "New Mail!" in red at the top of the page.  Thanks!

Maybe I better go see if I have any mail on WU. Believe it or not. I hardly ever go to my WU page.

I visit Wunderground at least twice a day, the reason for that is, there are four or five weather stations within a ten mile radius of me. A quick visit to Wunderground enables me to check their data against mine highlighting any anomalies, usually there is very little difference.

Alan.

PS. Except April 5th

Alan,
Any damage from when that F4 swung by on April 5th?

Andrew.

Not quite sure where that one came from 356.4 KM/h :-k, that sure would remove a few tiles, yet another one to remove. I must confess, I did miss that.  #-o

Thanks,

Alan.
