Color display
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:12:10 PM »
I'm looking for a wireless weather station that has a color display.  Am I dreaming, I seen the ones that can talk to you, but can't find any that are in color.  Anyone know of any?

Use a digital photo frame and Image Salsa to create the image from your weather data tags.
I used an image of the VP2 console with the weather data overlaid over the console to create a jpg image.  It looked like a camera was aimed at the VP2 console.

Are you talking something like these?

I live in an apartment and for the moment am not a home weather watcher.

I am a storm chaser.

I also would be interested in the you use to display info on the picture frame..  And what frames you purchased..

Thanks

Update rate depends on how often the csv data file is saved.

You should contact WXforum member 'Rhino'.  He's a weather systems product engineer who's beta testing some wireless wx sensors and iphone/Android apps to get data from wireless temp/hum and 5-n-1 integrated sensors.  Maybe that will fill your color display requirement.

Very interesting; but is the wireless W177 available in the US using our frequencies?  $94.92
edit:  OK, the frequency is 434 MHz, range is 100 feet sensor to monitor

That electronic digital measuring cup W121 gives me some ideas for measuring rainfall. $20.92
