Title: Wildfire Smoke In The NW.....
Post by: GregJ on August 04, 2017, 06:01:22 PM
Today it was announced that not only do we have the worst air quality in the US, it is even far worse than Bejing....  We are suffering due to the smoke from the BC wildfires.  I really have no place to complain.  The folks directly affected by this have it FAR worse than us.  At least we are safe.  My thoughts and prayers are with the firefighters and those who have suffered huge losses.  Many have lost their homes.

Thought I would share some time lapses that show the impact from the smoke.  This first time lapse is a 3 day progression filmed between 4 and 7 each day.  The change is pretty remarkable.  The last day isn't even the worst of it.

This sunrise time lapse shows how really miserable the smoke is....  It's pretty, but just imagine what that air is doing to our lungs...

Thought I'd Share,

I have only seen smoke that bad once and it was Montana and forest fires in the late 80's...
Thanks for sharing it brought back some memories.
