Leuven template - YrNo forecast missing second part
« on: February 09, 2017, 08:13:44 AM »
Hi . I have download YrNo forecast from http://www.weerstation-leuven.be/, but there is missing a part.
If Ilook at the demosite there is four parts, but on my website there is only three parts.
Second part is missing.

Can you post a link to your site?

With these forecasts, it is most of the times a setting.
But without a link to your website-page there is not much support to give.

Some cities do not have the yrno meteogram which you are missing. But again without a link, nobody can check that either.

link

You already sent e-mails and a PM with the same question. As asked last year:  Please give the authors of the script some time to answer. This multiple requests at different places is waisting time which should be used to help others.

As you probably read in the other answers, this missing part was caused by you changing lines in scripts which should not be changed.

This time you changed line 35 in wsyrnofct/yrnoavansert3.php
from
Code: [Select]
yrTotalPng = 'http://www.yr.no/place/'.$yrnoID.'/avansert_meteogram.png';  to
Code: [Select]
$yrTotalPng = 'http://www.yr.no/place/Denmark/Central_Jutland/Viborg/'.$yrnoID.'/avansert_meteogram.png';
This resulted in the link having twice the country/area/city/
http://www.yr.no/place/Denmark/Central_Jutland/Viborg/Denmark/Central_Jutland/Viborg//avansert_meteogram.png
So no image is returned.  Removing your changes generates a valid  link

In my previous post for your "Second part" (normally called a meteogram):  http://www.yr.no/place/Denmark/Central_Jutland/Viborg/avansert_meteogram.png
The last part is .png meaning no data but a picture.

Your question on this forum and, again also in mails to me, should be addressed to the programmers at yr.no.  Ask them to generate those nice free-of-charge graphs not only in English but  in all languages of the world.

I included in the script already a meteogram comparable to the second part and that is in your local language.
You should try to decide which parts should be shown to your visitors. If they do not understand English, change the setting to "do not display" the meteogram.

Hi,
I think you maybe misunderstood Wim. He was not saying you should not email him or post here or that your question is stupid, he probably meant you should have used one or the other. You have to understand he is very busy so it might get confusing when he sees the same questions at several places and then has to reply to email and answer on forum.

But it is of course ok to ask here and the advantage of asking here is that sometimes other people will be able to answer your questions and save (in this case Wim) time.
