Almanac... NOAA reports help
« on: December 28, 2016, 03:15:01 PM »
Hello Everyone,

My reports are not showing up and I believe I have two issues to work with. One is... The reports (txt files, NOAAMO, NOAAYR) are not being uploaded to my site. Is this a Weatherlink issue or is this a separate upload I have to create outside of WL?

The other issue I believe I have is getting my website to read those files...  Meaning, I've manually copied them up to the root of my site as well as created a folder call NOAA-reports and the site does not read them from that location either. Is there a script that need to be run for these to be read?

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Bruce

You do have to upload via Weather-Link the

NOAAMO.TXT, NOAAYR.TXT  for current month and current year
NOAAPRMO.TXT, NOAAPRYR.TXT for last month, last year
and those should be uploaded to the document root of the website.

in ./NOAA-reports/ directory, the script will create
NOAAyyyy.TXT for year 'yyyy' summary (from NOAAPRYR.TXT)
NOAAyyyy-mm.TXT for month 'mm' in year 'yyyy' summary (from NOAAPRMO.txt)

If you have older data, you can use Weather-Link NOAA reports to create and save the NOAAyyyy.TXT and NOAAyyyy-mm.TXT files locally, the upload them manually to the ./NOAA-reports/ directory on your website.
