"negative" image in imagesalsa
« on: October 30, 2010, 07:20:28 PM »
using hauppauge wintv hvr-1600 card. Image is great on wintv. On imagesalsa I get a reversed "negative" image. I'm trying a first time setup. I open a portfolio, go to video feed selection and setup click "enable" and "enable preview window" the image is a negative, frame rate is 21 fps, size is 720x480 and it has 15 bits per pixel-- the "button" to the right of that is grayed out the other two work.

Where is the setting at that I need to change?
thanks in advance

Ping...

I'm seeing the same results with a USB camera on XP. The camera can be viewed directly, such as by clicking on it in Explorer, without problem.

Ideas?

Thanks -

I haven't seen this behavior before, but if it is simply a negative of the image, you can apply a "negative" color filter to the video feed when you ad it to your canvas.  So, hopefully, a negative of a negative will look correct again.
