Android App
« on: October 04, 2014, 05:50:50 PM »
I have an iPhone and use Personal Weather Station Monitor and like it.

My mom has an android phone and is looking for something similar to monitor mine and my brothers weather stations.

Does Android have anything similar?

They could install the Davis Weatherlink app (free) if you are using and uploading to Weatherlink.  I have that one on my phone as well as one named "Weather Station" by Draco Systems.  That one costs $$ but I can't remember how much.  It's been very dependable with really no problems I can recall.  But the data it displays is limited.  However for the average person it will give them all the stuff they need to know.

The Davis app displays all my sensors including solar and UV as well as my soil/leaf station.  But the app is basic, not very customizable and really kinda boring.

Why not use the Weather Underground application? It is FREE and lets you select any PWS you want. Has the basic weather details as well as access to more in-depth graphs and charts if desired. A link to the Google Apps store follows:
I have it on both my Android phone and tablet. It works great.

I also have the WU app on my Android phone.  It's where I go for the forecast and a quick look at the radar.  The weather station apps are for a review of my station's data only.  Personal preference I guess.

As far as a radar app is concerned Radar Scope is the best it gets.

I use Pykl3 myself. It looks they both pretty much mirror each other.

Yep looks very similar. I've had Radar Scope for years with no complaints.
