I discovered the Sterling VA loop is incorrect, I will have it fixed this afternoon.

Haven't really looked that far ahead in NY but this is one BIG storm! Irene has continued to grow and is now almost 600 miles wide. Tropical storm force winds extend 290 miles from the center. Hurricane force winds extend to 90 miles from the center or 180 miles in diameter.

Has anyone found any live cams on the NC coast? I found a few but they are static images.

Check out chasertv.com for some chaser video of the area.  There are quite a few converging on the outer banks.  Should have some good video soon.  Already some out there.

its gonna be interesting:)

Unfortunately no live feeds yet. Hopefully they are there tomorrow morning as it approaches landfall at daylight.

Thanks Tony.
A pretty good feeder band going through right now so you can't see nothing.

The feed is going on now. http://www.chasertv.com/api/static_pages/lite/466_brandon-redmond.php When it quits, refresh, it seems to time out.

First TOR warning from Irene. Lots of rotation just north of Moorehead city radar.

My station will be on the air north of Albany NY for the later half of the storm if anyone is interested. Just fortified the tripod on the roof of the fire station with 5 more cinder blocks... I don't think it is going anywhere now.

Links below... sorry, no live cams. I have battery backup, so unless Time Warner Inet is taken out, I should be online for a bit after a power failure. Last time in 1999 when Floyd came up here we had some major landslides up in the Adirondacks from the rain and LOTS of blow down. See below for a picture of the results from `99, the pic is looking up to the 4000+ft peak from the Avalanche Pass trail.

Once again, wxforum.net proves to be a great resource.

I've been following the storm track and then using the member-map then member-list to find PWS uploads (beyond WU) to member websites.  So far, all inactive members, but most still have their websites up.

Any good finds?
I tried http://www.midatlanticwx.net/ briefly, but most are off line (power out?) and I didn't have time to search further.
