Hi Mick,

None of my fans state the max mA or any mA for that matter, i know one needed about 1A going by the meter on my psu

Added  a options for night  mode  LDR is to switch the fan off  automatically

Is there an option for lower voltage (slow the fan) instead, some fan movement will be better than none i think

Just wondering if to have an option to add a 12v fuse on the 12v dc  power input?

why? in case of over voltage? wired wrong etc?

Hi Mick

To be honest with you, the idea of lower speeds for night time was just that, an idea, mostly to save a little
on cost and fan wear and tear. I think i will just keep my fan running constant day and night. I am between
0.5 - 1C+ on the met office station, sometimes i am level, but i am mostly above theirs, so i will be changing
the fan to higher cfm when i take it down again.

My fan is running on 12v mains, i optoed for the cheaper daytime fars with the idea to convert it to 24/7 using
the mains, thats the way to go if you do go for Davis, saves you a little :)

I think i will just use one on the Davis, i can hear the OS where it is just by walking up to it as its head height :)

Kind regards

HI Mick, thanks for the video, just one point, when you stop the fan by hand, slowly turn the fan, once
it hits one of the 4 points see if it will turn off the LED again, could you try that please?

This is why i had to go for flashing LEDS on my mod, flashing because, when the fan is running, one LED
is flashing normally, thats just to show theres power, the other LED (for the fan), looks like constantly lit
because of the speed of the fan, so if the fan fails, it will do 1 of 2 things, either go out or start flashing
depending if its hit one of the 4 thingys (<<scientific term that is) inside the fan or not, it was the only
way i could figure it out :)
Kind regards

Thats great, sound like progress,

Just a thought, could you add expertise to this thread please?
Trying to see if we can copy the Davis leaf sensor :)
