Topic: WU Webcams

Am I the only one with webcam problems? In my Foscam settings I do the test and nothing happens except my picture is no longer on WU. Works fine on my computer and my phone.

Based on what I know myself and what we see here on this forum on a daily (or hourly?) basis, I would say it is more likely the problem is not on your end

Mine is updating currently on WU but several times weekly it does the same that you describe. It will periodically show normal outgoing and successful uploads on my end but on the WU page nothing.

Seems like every weekend mine will stop updating, just now it's showing a shot from Friday and it will not update until sometime Monday.

Mine has been 12-24 hours without updates all week. Now I'm getting Missing Webcam.
I wish there were some alternatives.

The setup where you send the photo via ftp works much better than providing WU a url for them to retrive it. I once had 2 cameras with each setup different & the one waiting to be retrieved failed 30-50% of the time, while the other was successful 95-98% of the time.  When it did fail, most of the time it was result of my Internet connection failing before the end of the file.

I'm running ftp and now all of a sudden it doesn't work. I logged into the WU ftp server and manually loaded one of my image.jpg's and it logged on and loaded as it should but never displays on my wu page.
I checked my profile, Webcam and see that Active = No,, which I don't understand.
Sent another note off to the support group on Saturday so hoping that they do something.

Iv'e been sending ftp for years and like I mention earlier, here lately it's been failing quite regularly on the weekends.

Mine is ok, but I make them grab the photo from me.

I just checked mine and now it's working.

Also checked the webcam profile settings and it's now showing Active.

Mine is down again and has been for several days. It's currently showing Missing Webcam.
Most of the webcams in my area are also not showing up but some are. I presume it's the FTP server that's not working since that's what I'm using.

I was a bit surprised that I didn't see any body else here mentioning this.

This is a very common issue so most just ignore it or wait it out...
My CAM1 https://www.wunderground.com/webcams/PaulMy/1/video.html?year=2017&month=05&time=morning has not been showing for a while and 2017 nis not available at the moment, but my Bloomsky https://www.wunderground.com/webcams/PaulMy/4/video.html?year=2017&month=05&time=morning is ok today.
