WeatherBell Premium
« on: May 21, 2016, 02:05:36 PM »
I'm taking the free trial of WeatherBell Premium and am considering locking in a one year subscription before the rate increase (then pay the new rates starting next year). So far I've been enjoying WeatherBell Premium and the high res models it contains. Who else on here uses WeatherBell Premium, and do you recommend it as a solid weather models site?

Thanks!

If you can afford it, it is FANTASTIC in my opinion. I cannot afford it at the moment, as I usually do EuroWx for a few months in winter every year (It is strictly just the European model). Weatherbell has every weather model you could think of and then some on their, and their availability of products for the European model has gone through the roof the last couple of years. I got it for 6 months as a Christmas present about a year ago. I definitely recommend if you can afford it.  8-)

$240 per year is a little pricey for retired folks. Wonder if there is a senior discount?   :-)

Don't forget those poor broke college kids (Though I shouldn't complain since I don't want free college  ;) ). I have GREarth for $180/year, and it's hard for me to muster. But I sure do love it. Its Mesoanalysis products are fantastic.

Thanks everyone! I did a year of it and got in before the price increase so I can give it a year evaluation to see how long I want to keep it. I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. It's a gold mine of models, plus it's been a good learning experience since I still have much to learn about weather forecasting. I'm a college student as well and know how hefty the tuition is. My WeatherBug job helps somewhat on college. Got a year left before my Master's then going for a PhD.

pivotalweather.com is another good decent free one. I like WeatherBell better, but if I couldn't afford it, I'd use Pivotal.
