Plexus treatment of measuring tube = no meniscus?
« on: December 15, 2015, 08:40:55 AM »
I treated my funnel, outer cylinders and measuring tube with Plexus recently. I have noticed that there is no meniscus in the past few observations. The waterline is dead level. I suppose that the surface tension that creates the meniscus will be lower with the Plexus treatment. Anyone else see this?

What is Plexus? The only thing I can find on Plexus is that it is weight reduction product. Don't think that is what you are using on your weather equipment though.

It sounds like it essentially makes the surfaces of whatever you put it on much slicker and effectively reduces the surface tension.

It is not the pink diet drink. Apparently there are many Plexii... :-P
Here is the link to the Plexus plastic polish.

I see that Randy beat me to it, but here it is anyways...

I wonder if it would help restore the finish on an old CoCoRaHS rain gauge? They can get pretty nasty looking after a few years of sitting in the sun. I don't see anything on the Plexus website or in their MSDS documents that talks about UV protection.

This stuff is excellent and it greatly helps with uv ray reduction.
