Title: App for Android
Post by: Billyram on April 02, 2017, 02:47:51 PM
Is there a better app that works with weatherlink than "My Weather"? The Davis app doesn't work and I don't want to send a donation if there's something better out there.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.br0xen.SunnyDay&hl=en  And it works to read your own personal station file too!

What's 'My Weather?'. The Davis app is called Weatherlink Mobile. It's free, not donationware. It's not the best app imaginable but works OK for most people.

[My Weather is a Google play store app for weatherlink. Weatherlink mobile doesn't work for me.

This app seems to be a step up from the one I was using so I loaded it. It's getting its data from WU.

You should decompile it and improve it.  Then sell it.

This Draco Weather Station takes too long to update. Sometimes up to 1 hr.

There are many people who use the Davis app. What is the problem on your phone? Is it an incompatible version of Android or something like that? Have you tried the latest version on the Google app store?

I tried loading the weatherlink app again and it worked this time. Not much to it but seems to update rapidly.

I've created a widget and screen lock wallpaper using Kustom Widget and Live Wallpaper:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget.pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget.pro)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.wallpaper.pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.wallpaper.pro)

It is highly customizable, can read xml or json from your site (eg. Meteotemplate with feed plugin). There is a free version as well, but can't import already created widgets.
Here is a screenshot of how my lock screen looks
(https://clima.red/clima/imgs/Screenshot_20170410-154057.png)
Red dot is wind direction. I have an apk but since everything is hard linked, you would have to change to your own server.
I've done a sticker version using Meteotemplate's sticker plugin for my signature.
Let me know what you think.
