Move VWS Internet to New Computer
« on: April 29, 2017, 09:10:38 AM »
I received a new computer yesterday.  Running Windows 10 Pro.  I tried copying all the VWS files from the old computer to the new one, but it isn't working.  VWS loads, but it wants me to start from scratch.  What file(s) do I need to bring the old setup to the new computer?  I am running Davis Vantage View station.

Did you make sure that you copied VWS to the same location on the drive?  Did you move VWS first, then install?

Here is the WIKI on how to do it.

Thanks.  I did it all over again.  I found my problem.  I was using the VWS software for my old Oregon Scientific station, and not the one for my Davis Vantage Vue.  Works fine now.  Another senior moment I suppose.
