Topic: anyone have the stardot with youtube direct?

my stardot camera is dead again and it soon will be junked. anyway reason why I am posting here is I see stardot has sales and one of the sales is a camera that can direct stream to youtube. Does anyone have one on here?

Yes, I have one! I wish it had an audio interface, but otherwise it works pretty well. The other thing is I wanted to set a cron job to start and end the live stream daily during daylight hours. Stardot cameras run BusyBox which has a very limited set of commands. So I have another small computer running Ubuntu, where I set up a cron job to send a curl command over to the camera's admin api, which starts and stops the stream for me. And the camera can both stream as well as upload live images. The weather info is coming from my Davis Pro 2 weather station, I wrote some scripts to retrieve/parse it and overlay it on the image every 5 minutes.

Thank you for the info. LOVE the image. I did not get one. I had to put some money into my car so the camera took a back seat for the year. I might get one next years black friday. Unless they get a sale again for Christmas?
