I've updated the Tapatalk plugin to 4.4.0 (from 4.3.9) 30-Jul-2016.
Please let me know if you experience issues while using Tapatalk to access wxforum.net.

Ken, I dont have a smartphone so I cannot check this, but one thing I do want to say about Tapatalk is that you should keep in mind that this lowers Google rank. Google said a while ago that they will penalize sites that "push" apps like this to users.

I've disabled the 'push' to Tapatalk if a mobile browser is detected. I, too, found it VERY ANNOYING. The folks who want to use the Tapatalk app are free to do so, but won't be prompted by our site to use it instead of the mobile browser.
Doing a search on Google for "weather forum", we come in as 6th listing on the first page of results. That's ok with me :)

Nice, though in such case Google is not very good, it should IMHO be first :D

I'm ok with being on the first page of results -- we've been around for 10 years and have a lot of content for weather enthusiasts to find via search.

True, though hard to tell why the Accuweather forum has two links right at the top

wxforum.net came up 3rd for me... and also for "weather templates" Sararoga-Weather.org - Weather Templates - AJAX/PHP
Komoka weather also comes up 3rd for me :D
Surprising that Jacques WeatherByYou comes in 1st for "weather templates"
