That sounds great to me. I use GRLevel 3 for local stuff, but I don't really have a good product for regional view.  8-)

I've switched the template I use on my tablet display from wunderground images to this custom solution and it has been working just fine. Static images are super speedy and animations load in a little under a second.

So if enough people are interested I can definitely toss something together. I'd probably need at least a dozen people willing to pay for the service in order for it to be practical. Server costs will run around $15-20 month. Basically one $5/month front end VM and one $10-15/month backend VM. Backend needs a bit of memory since it takes several docker containers to make it all work.
