Topic: USB length?

Hi folks, what's the maximum length can the USB be for Weatherlink (envoy)

I am thinking about getting the the alarm version but it would
Need to be in the summer house and the weather pc is i the conservatory
Poss about 10m as the town flies, might be a bit longer.

My Yaesu HF radio (Ham) is about 10ft away from my Windows PC. I use an "active" USB cable for it.

Thanks guys, i have used 2x active before for the camera, i was hoping there would be something more
suitable now seen as that was 10 years ago looks like active is the way to go...

Or perhaps you could use serial, with a USB converter?

Or maybe the Icron USB OVer Powerline solution?  If the buildings share wiring of course.
