USB length?

Hi folks, what's the maximum length can the USB be for Weatherlink (envoy)

I am thinking about getting the the alarm version but it would
Need to be in the summer house and the weather pc is i the conservatory
Poss about 10m as the town flies, might be a bit longer.

My Yaesu HF radio (Ham) is about 10ft away from my Windows PC. I use an "active" USB cable for it.

Thanks guys, i have used 2x active before for the camera, i was hoping there would be something more
suitable now seen as that was 10 years ago :) looks like active is the way to go...
