I bought a friend a weather station, the 2811 advertised it's available to upload to weather underground, but we can't figure out how to get the info to upload... we looked at cumulus but not compatible to that station.  any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Have you tried WuHu? I've been running 2 separate WuHu applications for a WS-2810 and a WS-2310/15 for close to 5 years now. It's a great program.

plus. the author frequents this forum so help is available if needed.

Did you follow the instructions here. Did you download the heavy weather software? Do you have the USB receiver?

we downloaded the software from manufacture site, the station came with the usb adaptor to report stuff to the computer, I am meeting up with him next week to try this new software that was suggested above...
but figured I would ask, cause I couldn't figure it out...

What warnings are you referring too?  If the software you downloaded is Heavy Weather WUHU works very well along with it. That combination is what I used when I had a lacrosse station.

it has warnings about clashing with other programs that you might have to turn off when installing, why I am nervous, I know computers, but my friend doesn't he knows how to turn on, email, surf and turn off, and calls me or his son, when he isn't sure of things..lol

I ran WUHU and heavy weather on a win 7 pc and never had any issues.  I understand your concern about loading software on non technical peoples pc's.

Tony, with the 28xx series weather stations you need to run LaCrosse's HW Pro (free online). Once you get it up and running you just make note where the station's data is being stored (called a currdat.lst file) on the PC. Then you direct the WuHu program to retrieve the station's data from this currdat.lst file and it then uploads to the Internet site(s) you choose. Hollar if you need a hand if you go this route.
