WS6100IT
« on: January 18, 2014, 03:55:28 PM »
Recently it hit 50C (yes Celsius, I am in Australia where it is summer and we had a heatwave) on my deck where my WS6100IT is stationed . It seemed to break - the max temp is recorded as 49.3C but it should work up to 60C. Now the display for temp and windspeed are blank. I have checked the lines and have tried resetting it by removing the lines to battery in transmitter but it still doesn't work. The Pressure and Rainfall still work.

There appears to be no general way to "reset" temperature and see if that works. Any ideas?

Have you verified the rain gauge is still reporting by tipping it? If it is working then the thermo/hygro sensor is getting power and still transmitting to the console. If the rain gauge is not actually reporting then you might check the thermo/hygro's battery connection tabs to be sure they are contacting the batteries and the sensor is getting power. Wow, 50c!!! A/C working overtime down there I suspect.

edit: Did you mean WS1600IT because I can't find a WS6100IT googling?
