Accurite Model at Costco UK
« on: September 13, 2016, 12:24:40 PM »
Came across this unit the morning, never seen it before.

Not much information on the internet about it but it was not that expensive so basic i presume. Could not see if it would send data to Weather Undergorund

It looks like a typical 5n1 kit localized for the UK.  Other than the power adapter, I'm not sure what that all means.

The display doesn't seem to have a USB port, so you can't hook it up to a PC and report to wunderground.

However, the 5n1 sensor itself could report to wunderground through a SmartHUB.

My dad has a similar display.  One thing he really likes is the way the rain gauge works.  It resets at midnight rather than when a "rain event" ends, which really confused him.  (An older display often reset too quickly to match his retired leisurely lifestyle.)

Time to play "decode the Acurite suffix" game...

"C" for color (colour?) or Costco?   "UK" for United Kingdom.

I've no idea for "D" and "I".
