Title: Heathrow Airport Recorded Temperatures

I often wondered if the temperature recorded at Heathrow Airport was influenced by the vast amounts of heat absorbing tarmac runway and hot airplane exhausts, but this article claims otherwise:

I wonder why a Stevenson Screen is not fan aspirated/ventilated? People seem to make a big deal about getting a FARS. Why isn't it the case for the Stevenson Screen?
